I feel like this is a good time to point out that, as a collective, not being huge dicks is kind of our thing.
Being enthusiastic and welcoming, for the most part, is our thing. And I like to like we’re pretty good at it.

We could have brought another friend into our circle, but instead we get mad our silly pet name is being used by someone as a URL.

IT’S TERRIBLE AND IT ALIENATES PEOPLE AND IT LEADS TO SITUATIONS LIKE THESE WERE WE PUSH PEOPLE AWAY BECAUSE OF SOMETHING REALLY REALLY STUPID.

SO THEY TOOK THE URL ‘BROTOMEN’. SO THEY TOOK THAT TAG. IT IS ONE PERSON I MEAN JESUS CHRIST IT IS NOT LIKE THEY PUT SOME BARRICADE OVER THE TAG. WE CAN STILL USE IT. YOU JUST HAVE TO SCROLL A LITTLE MORE IN ONE TAG.

And THEN he feels so harassed that he has to CHANGE HIS URL?!?!? WOW. I AM SO ASHAMED OF EVERYONE RIGHT NOW I CANNOT EVEN SAY.

Being a dick is not okay. It should never be acceptable. And I honestly feel like cutting ties with people who think that it is.
